FNPhenomenal Mom is a series that I am doing to highlight Single Moms who are amazing moms and who are also rocking it out personally in their careers, entrepreneurship, or in the community. I think that it is important to show other single moms that it is possible to raise amazing children without sacrificing who you are as a woman. These interviews are motivational, but also include practical advice on how to structure your life for success, financial management tips, and techniques to teach your children about finances. We are all in this journey together. My hope is to highlight other moms, share best practices, and in turn provide hope, encouragement, and motivation to help you to succeed and to define your own phenomenal.

What do you do (entrepreneur, career, etc.) and why is it important?
I am a Best-selling Author, national Blogger, Speaker, and The Dream Big Writing Coach. I coach aspiring and new bloggers and writers on writing, publishing, and pitching. It’s important because I show individuals how to dream big and turn their big dreams into reality when it comes to writing.
What would you tell your younger self that would have been instrumental during your journey?
I would tell my younger self to never give or quit, and that you will experience pain in all forms in life outside of the physical, and to always push past the pain.
What is the single best piece of advice that you have learned?
After dealing with the devastating loss of my father in 2011, the best piece of advice that I learned was to push past the pain.
How can single moms be great moms and still pursue their dreams and goals?
Once you prioritize, become organized, and keep your eye on the prize and focus on your dreams and goals you become unstoppable. You must remain focused and no matter what and keep going.
Who do you look up to and why?
I look up to my mother, my mentors, and women who are doing it and places in which I will one day go with the pursuit of my passion.
What are your guiding principles?
My guiding principles are to always remain humble, continue coaching and training to perfect my craft, and that building genuine and authentic relationships are key.
What is your best advice for moms?
You can be a great mom to your children and still pursue your dreams, incorporate self-care, and do whatever you put your mind to. We should feed off the energy of our children instead of letting it slow us down or stop us from living full out.
How do you stay aligned with your passion/purpose?
I surround myself with like-minded individuals who are pursuing their passion and I continuously invest in myself with training and coaching from the best.
What is one key money principle that you live your life by?
I keep God involved with everything that I do and I pray over almost everything. Especially when it comes to making business decisions.
How do you do what you love, provide for your children, and look great, and still watch your money?
It may be tough at times because it’s a lot to keep up with but staying focused and organized definitely helps a lot.
How do you teach your child(ren) about money?
My little one just turned five, so we haven’t really gotten into the money conversation too much. However, what I will start doing is incorporating an allowance for the little things that I ask him to do, like keeping his room cleaned, or cleaning up his toys without being asked, and for listening to what I tell him to do. Once he starts to get money in his hand, I will then start to teach him the value of it, and teach him that money isn’t free and that we must work for it in order to get it. This will help instill the value and importance of money with him.
What is your favorite book and why?
I’m currently reading the Power of Broke and I think this may be my new fav!

It’s time for you to be Financially Phenomenal!
Hi, I'm Aisha and I'm a phenomenal, single mom of twins.
My life suddenly changed once I found out I was pregnant, and shortly thereafter realized that I was going to be a single mom. I couldn't believe that I was in this situation. However, this journey has been a total blessing.
On this journey, I realized that what happened to me is not unique, and I wanted to provide an online community for single moms. Therefore, I created FNPhenomenal to help single moms thrive financially and live phenomenally using Biblical principles to teach money management, self-care, and the importance of building a legacy for their family.
It's possible to live an amazing life and still be a single mom.
