I had the pleasure of attending the Rainbow Push Money Matters event in Detroit, MI this weekend. For background, the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and Chevrolet have teamed up to host a series of FREE workshops to educate African American consumers on financial literacy and assist participants in developing concrete steps toward financial security. One thing that I struggle with is balance. Sometimes I feel like I’m serving everyone else and that I put myself on the back burner. I accomplish this by skipping meals, running without stopping or reducing the number of hours that I sleep.
